I gave birth to an amazing little girl on June 2nd and she has turned my world upside down and she is what truly makes my world go round. Am I a good mother? Well to some maybe....lol....to others maybe not. Does she wake up everyday and give me kisses and tell me how much she loves me? YES!! Its probably the best mothers day present anyone could get. You know what.....I get mothers day presents everyday just by her presence alone.
If you are a mother/expectant mother I am encouraging you to not worry, God will take care of everything. Those beautiful blessings that God gives us mothers is something that is scary, yes however being a mother is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. Just to see her smile, hear her giggle, hear her singing to Jake and the Neverland Pirates screaming Yo Ho Lets Go twenty times a day, praying every night before she goes to bed, always wanting to read her bible and taking mine when she can't find it with hands filled with smushed candy and the evidence all over her face was totally worth all of the anticipation and question I freaked myself out about.
Do you think being a mother is hard? I do!! lol.... However I definitely can say that I am sure that my being a mother was nowhere near as hard as the job that Mary had....Check out this below...
Here is a little food for thought:
Luke 2:48-52 ESV And when his parents saw him, they were astonished. And his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us so? Behold, your father and I have been searching for you in great distress.” (49) And he said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?” (50) And they did not understand the saying that he spoke to them. (51) And he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was submissive to them. And his mother treasured up all these things in her heart. (52) And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man
All because of this AMAZING mommy known as Mary, her son whom she raised was the savior of the world. Someone had to be there for his first steps, his first boo boo, and the first times he got in trouble. However Mary treasured everything in her heart and knew that God had given her this amazing gift that she knew she must raise up right to save the world. Now that is an awesome mommy, as Tony Nolan would say that mommy definitely has a WOW factor.
So happy that Mary wanted to be a great mom, because with her son Jesus I am able to be a great mommy to my sweet girl. I know that without what Mary did I wouldn't be able to pray for God's grace and the safety of my daughter. I wouldn't be able to pray for patience. You know what I for sure probably wouldn't even be here typing this if it wasn't for that amazing mom.
